1984 Ceclia rebuild
yeah i know but a chassis is a chassis so why not just get one that's not rusted to the core. i'd say they were too cheap to get a newer one on one that's not so beat up but when you see the cars in the background you'd figure that's no the case.
A.) Probably a customer car and may have sentimental value for the restoration
B.) As deep of a restoration job as it is, I don't think it'd matter what shape the chassis is in. Everything was going to get reworked anyways. To clarify, another chassis with slightly less damage would've gone through the same process as this one. Price difference wouldn't of been enough to care. Hell if you can afford to have this type of stuff done, you've got extra $$$ to burn.
C.) Restoration job, the race car had the original race gear with it still. They just restored all of it. You'd have to source the vintage race gear to make it authentic. This already had it all.
Impressive work to say the least. Handful of shops in the world are good enough to this level of work.
I love how they routed the wastegate. Awesome detail.

Haha, thanks! I mean, it's rust free; but it'd be nice to get the entire thing re-done to a full-spec race machine!
Granted, it is a daily driver, idealistically, I'd love to pull the engine and rebuild with forged/titanium parts to be able to handle more boost. I'm too careful when it comes to boosting. I'm sure I could go more on a stock block than 7lbs, but I dunno, I've had my problems in the past...
