Went to the 100th Chicago Auto Show yesterday and took over 100 pictures, so 56k (does anybody even use dial up anymore) you can see yourself out.

Hello Genesis Coupe. This was the first thing I went to look at, and listening to the company representatives talk about the Genesis platform, (as well as reps at other exhibits from GM, etc) RWD is definately the big thing right now on automakers' agendas.

The Genesis Sedan. I was surprisingly unimpressed, it looks old already.

GMC Denali XT, the guy that was talking about it said it's built on the Zeta platform. (I think something similar to this may be already out or at least green lighted in Australia)
Attachment 17394

YUMMMM Pontiac G8.... pure hotness. Another Zeta platofrm vehicle. The taillights on this car were also my favorite out of all the cars there.

I know you've all seen it before, the Solistice. I LOVE how it feels just to sit in this car, the way the seat is you feel part of the machine.

Corvette ZR1. Pure hotness. This drew a lot of attention.

i don't get the retro/futuristic blend of the new car designs. imo mid 80's to early 90's were when the cars reached their peak as far as looks go for modern cars anyway.

the 50's classics and 70's muscle cars though are the ones i really like.

94Boy 02-13-2008 03:22 PM

The dodge Challenger was at the Pa auto show and those things are very nice.

But any way some of those cars are very gay. ( Yaris )

TypeX180 02-13-2008 03:40 PM

that new ZR1 is ****ing sick...and so is the GTR

R8 FTW..

Spade 02-13-2008 04:07 PM

the hyundais - waste of pics
the BMWs - best display
the challengers - beastly rides
the nascar - lame as all are
the mitsubishis - hey where's the starion
the solstice - ugly as can be
the scions - actually impressive
the GTR - best of all

thats my evaluation

*EDIT* the ZR1 - where is the viper ACR that can whoop its ass?
the bullitt - just another mustang that I dont want to "ride"
the CRZ - still thinking of a response

my_kinda_livin 02-13-2008 05:29 PM

^you forgot the zr1

yarou 02-13-2008 06:30 PM

GTR best of all? Come on, I saw that **** up in person at the SF autoshow and it's less than pretty. Performance? I can't say, but it looks like utter ****.

In order of dopeness

Cmon now, I dont think the GTR is bad at all. The only one that looks better is the R34.

i agree about japanese cars, i was referring to american cars though i should have clarified. however, i still think that the s13>>>>s14 and s13=s15. but that's just me so feel free do disagree.

yarou 02-13-2008 10:16 PM

You should see the GTR in person, it has no presence. It looks like a glob of the good attributes of every other idolistic car, absolutely doesn't have presence of the r34 even because at least that car's hard lines were agressive as ****.

ryguy 02-13-2008 10:44 PM

haha I did see it in person, I was the one who took the pictures. (i'm even in one lol) I thought it looked pretty damn good. Plus it can drive in the snow.

yarou 02-13-2008 11:03 PM

lol Oh, right. Well, fine then.

240driftfiend 02-13-2008 11:40 PM

i was just wondering cuz this guy that did it they were calling him ryguy
