Went to the 100th Chicago Auto Show yesterday and took over 100 pictures, so 56k (does anybody even use dial up anymore) you can see yourself out.
Hello Genesis Coupe. This was the first thing I went to look at, and listening to the company representatives talk about the Genesis platform, (as well as reps at other exhibits from GM, etc) RWD is definately the big thing right now on automakers' agendas. Attachment 17386 Attachment 17387 Attachment 17388 The Genesis Sedan. I was surprisingly unimpressed, it looks old already. Attachment 17389 Attachment 17390 One of the GMC display trucks was hauling an Impala. Attachment 17391 Buick Riviera, sweet gull wing doors. Attachment 17392 Attachment 17393 GMC Denali XT, the guy that was talking about it said it's built on the Zeta platform. (I think something similar to this may be already out or at least green lighted in Australia) Attachment 17394 YUMMMM Pontiac G8.... pure hotness. Another Zeta platofrm vehicle. The taillights on this car were also my favorite out of all the cars there. Attachment 17395 Attachment 17396 I know you've all seen it before, the Solistice. I LOVE how it feels just to sit in this car, the way the seat is you feel part of the machine. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...9/7502a6c6.jpg Corvette ZR1. Pure hotness. This drew a lot of attention. Attachment 17397 15.5 inch Carbon Ceramic Brakes. Thats right, its brakes are bigger than some of you guys' wheels. Attachment 17398 Sweet structural cutaway. Attachment 17399 Cutaway LS9. Somebody swap THAT into a 240. Attachment 17400 Attachment 17401 Bumblebee Attachment 17402 Tiny Chevys Attachment 17403 Attachment 17404 Saab Aero X http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...9/657f85f4.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...9/a4726c58.jpg The post-apocolyptic Hummer HX Attachment 17405 CTS Coupe, the guy in the black suit claims its in production (but not on sale yet) Attachment 17406 40th anniversary Shelby Mustang Attachment 17407 BMW's past and present Attachment 17408 Attachment 17409 M3 Coupe Attachment 17410 1 series Coupe and Convertible Attachment 17411 Attachment 17412 Audi R8..... so sexy. Attachment 17413 Attachment 17414 Some Lotus Elises, some Lambos and a Vanquish Attachment 17415 Attachment 17416 Attachment 17417 Attachment 17418 Rolls Royce. These cars are beyond massive. Attachment 17426 Attachment 17427 Chrysler Town and Country Blackjack (poker table in back) Attachment 17428 300C Hollywood (Targa Top and Suicide Doors) Attachment 17429 Some Jeep concept with rebel flag tail lights. Attachment 17430 Attachment 17431 By far the biggest crowd drawing car at the show. Nissan GTR. Attachment 17432 Attachment 17434 Attachment 17436 Attachment 17438 Attachment 17439 Who else has been this close to it??? Hmmmm??? Attachment 17441 My logical next step Attachment 17442 The ugly carp-like CRZ, obviously inspired by the CRX. Attachment 17457 There was more at the show, but in 5 hours i didnt get to see everything and had to go because I had to catch a train. |
i don't get the retro/futuristic blend of the new car designs. imo mid 80's to early 90's were when the cars reached their peak as far as looks go for modern cars anyway.
the 50's classics and 70's muscle cars though are the ones i really like. |
The dodge Challenger was at the Pa auto show and those things are very nice.
But any way some of those cars are very gay. ( Yaris ) |
that new ZR1 is ****ing sick...and so is the GTR
R8 FTW.. |
the hyundais - waste of pics
the BMWs - best display the challengers - beastly rides the nascar - lame as all are the mitsubishis - hey where's the starion the solstice - ugly as can be the scions - actually impressive the GTR - best of all thats my evaluation *EDIT* the ZR1 - where is the viper ACR that can whoop its ass? the bullitt - just another mustang that I dont want to "ride" the CRZ - still thinking of a response |
^you forgot the zr1
|
GTR best of all? Come on, I saw that **** up in person at the SF autoshow and it's less than pretty. Performance? I can't say, but it looks like utter ****.

You should see the GTR in person, it has no presence. It looks like a glob of the good attributes of every other idolistic car, absolutely doesn't have presence of the r34 even because at least that car's hard lines were agressive as ****.
|
haha I did see it in person, I was the one who took the pictures. (i'm even in one lol) I thought it looked pretty damn good. Plus it can drive in the snow.
|
lol Oh, right. Well, fine then.
|
i was just wondering cuz this guy that did it they were calling him ryguy
