300zx...........?
300zx...........?
alright, I am starting to consider getting a 300ZX TT............ They just look soooooooooo cooooooool
I have been looking into them a bunch, but what do you guys think about them? It would definatly be in line for some turbo mods, get that power into the 400 hp area.......

honestly, they're nice cars but it really depends on what you want to do. If cost is a factor, the I would shy away from it unless you have a hookup. Let's compare a 300zx TT vs a Supra TT
300 ZX TT = Would require about $6000 to get into the 400 hp range - I say this because that's how much my friend spent on his. He pretty much maxed out most of his options without performing a complete race retrofit (my 300 zx is bone stock and will prolly stay thay way forever)
Supra TT = < $1000 - (I spent $700) to reach the 400+HP range. Here, you have not begun to tap into the car's power.
Now, I am a bit biased, but the question now remains how much are you spending on the car? Is it worth spending all that money to reach your goal? Again, research all you can before you make a commitment because that's a whole lot of $$$ to be throwing around. Hope this helps

A 300 is a huge freakin pain in the *** to work on! I'd rather work on a damn 3000GT VR4 instead of working on a 300Z. Everything that you want to do the directions always start the same. Step#1 remove engine from car Not to mention a turbo upgrade on a 300Z would cost you about $3K. Then there is the low number sold in the US which would make any parts real hard to come by in the old junk yards.
