Any Golfers?
Any Golfers?
ok I know it's a car forum, but just wondering if there were any golfers here~ I'm looking to buy a good set of drivers for a beginner. I cracked the shaft on my uncle's hand me down Big Bertha and I'm reluctant to keep hitting with them at the driving range. Looking for something cheap that will withstand abuse while I get my swing up to par... any recommendations? plz leave the "no golf, golf sux" flames to urself...
dam i just tossed away my old set of clubs.. i was hoping to get rid of them for some money.. ill see if i can still find them in my old house... ill give u the whole damned thing for like $30..... i stopped playing a while back..... if i find it, ill let u know.
I'm wearing a Top Flite shirt right now! lol
I like to call my style ... well ... its more of a "hacking" or "cutting the grass" technique than it is golfing. LOL
Some tips,
--- Driving ---
Never down shift into first! ... woops wrong sport...(driving hehe)
1. Don't bend your left elbow.
2. When your swinging, keep the club at a 90 degree angle with your left arm.
3. Go fast on the up-swing, and slow on the down-stroke, you don't have to kill the ball
4. Think "Up fast, down slow" *reffer to #3*
5. Don't KILL the ball, if you take a nice easy slow swing, it will go further.
6. Angle the head upwards a little more, and hit the ball from underneath.
--- with wedges and irons ---
1. Don't be afraid to take out the grass.
2. Keep your knees slightly bent.
--- putting ---
Keep your face directly above the ball, you should be able to hold another ball on your nose, and have it land directly on top of your target ball.
I drive about 210 yd.
