Im located in vegas and am looking for a job most of the stores are all buissnes in other words no family owned shops or anything. Im seeing if anyone has any better ideas before i throw in the towel and apply for fastfood. Ive applied at curcuit city but it think they were just collecting profiles. Any help would be great

when i was 15 i got a job at a small local chain of electronics stores. i think when you're 16, a job is a job. when i was 16 or 17 i got a job at a nursing home working in a kitchen where i worked for almost 7 years. so check that out too.

When I was a little younger, I got a job working summers with a landscaper. We did Bordermagic and decorative concrete overlay; paid ten bucks and hour. Check for landscaping in the summer.

Hm..I work at a clothing store in the mall right now..i get around 650 dollar pay check every two weeks...check there..

but i work like 36 hour weeks..haha..im nuts.

Otherwise i'd say stick to the suggestions listed above. But yeah your dead right about that fast food thing. My first job at 14 was in a restaurant cleaning tables. IT SUCKED A$$!! The pay is shi7 and you work your a$$ off for bi7chy costumers just for them to give a tip to the waiter that you don't see much of.

i've been working like a dog, as far back as i could remember i ahd a job, hahha, i have had like so many different odd jobs,, landscaping, sushi chief, jap cusine chief (i can cook yo!) i got fired for wearing sandals and shorts to work everyday, but wtf am i suppose to do? it was like 90 degree during summer and inside the kitchen it's over 100 degree!!, but it was fun, me and the boss smoked everyday, that's how time flies, hahah,,, i had other jobs like contractor with my dad, worke din 5 diff factories, and such,, being bustboy, being a host, and now being a delivery boy,

here's the advice, there r plenty of jobs out there, u just have to look, just walk into any place and be frank with them (ppl like that type of attitude when it comes to business), tell them u want a job, a good place to look is a chinese rest. if u r asian, it's easier to eat the job, (reason y? dont ask me, hahah, im asian, but i look nothing like 1 hahha)... and those places pay u cash, which is always better,,, but dont expect 7 bucks an hour, if u become a bustboy, and just work on the weekend, u cna make like 80-100+ in only 2 days!!!,, since u r only 17, u probably still in highschool, so u dont need all that much money.. unless u r in somekind of a headlock with the local mob and triads,,

yo, i heard someone said working in a warehouse suck? u kididng me? i loved that job, well not love, but enjoyed it alot,, it is fun especially when u get to oberate the electric fork lift,, but if u r 1 of them assembly line personal, thne sucks for u,, what kind of a warehouse do u work in? i worked in severals alreayd, 1 of which was like a 3rd party supplier for some super mark,, took home tons fo ****, guns, candies, razor shaver (MARH III B*TCHES!!), condoms (hahah), and a box of batteries (very worth da risk of being fired, haha, but not reccommened, haha) ok im ranting at 1:30 am... sigh

Yea well I work on an assembly line basically. It's a flower company. We count bunches of 10 daffodils and place 50 bunches into a box and do that over and over and over. Thousands. Other times we just put price tags on the bunches of flowers...we have to work really really fast and do the same work for hours straight and the pay isn't very good. My supervisor smokes pot on the breaks. He also makes racist remarks for hours straight....that or tells me about his time in juvi (jail for minors). It's not always great working in a warehouse lol. It's not like a theme park driving around fork lifts and stealing product haha. I wish, I wish.

san diego man, i worked at the zoo for the merchandising department (think any and all gift shops). its too bad vegas doesnt have something along those lines, cuz i had fun last summer, and i plan on going back this summer.
