anyone drive I90 on friday?
topic says it all. little story to go with it...
240SX SE hatch + degrading conditions + 80mph = near death
so here's what happened... I got onto I90 from highway 75, and the road was beautiful, nice and clear, so I locked the cruise at 80 and ran 'er. so then I'm flyin along minding my business, and notice that the road is getting bad. so I takes the car off cruise, cause cruise on ice is a bad bad thing, and I shift to 4th to slow down a bit. well, that little bit of 'unsettling' the car put me into a nice slide at 70 some mph, in which I took both lanes, both shoulders and about a mile or so of sliding to regain control. I was skerred. then it gets really windy, and the wind was blowing me from lane to lane and onto the shoulder, and I was doing about 20mph down I90 just to stay on the road. I had it in 4th gear to keep the revs low, and I could break the tires loose in 4th at 1500 rpm just by tapping the gas. it was incredible. so needless to say, I got a hotel in fairmont MN and stayed the night. scary time ladies and gents.
so I finished my journey on saturday morning just fine, no ice. and now I've got my car here at school again. and most of the snow is gone, so I can keep it pretty clean.

well no, but the thought crossed my mind that maybe I did mess a little bit but no. hahaha. I did however stop to take a good long **** after all that, and when I stepped out on the road, the wind blew ME across the ice on my boots. crazy stuff.
