Hey I was just wondering if you guys know or suggest a Go-Kart Arena? Also if you've been Go-Karting tell me some stories

Im located in CT so if possible can you please suggest a place near by like NY, MA, or RI I will be willing to go that far.

yeah the best go-kart place i've been to is a european style kart called Fast Times in Indianapolis. Not close to you but its awesome. Karts run at about 30 mph, and it is one hell of a slick track.

One time i went in the winter time and it was about 40 degrees inside, so the track was really slick. well i'm heading towards a pretty long curve that you can usually go top speed in, well not today. I enter the turn at full speed, i lose traction and slide into the left wall so hard that I end up perpendicular, and then to top it off, my friend t-bones me so hard that the face mask on my helmut flys off. So i hit a wall going 30 and got tboned by my friend who was going about 30 when he hit me. Needless to say my whole left flank was bruised for about 2 weeks. Fun times!

 

We use to have a place that was made out of an old Lowe's building called Arena Cart Racing. It was pretty cool, plus they waxed the floor so you could slide and junk. Its been out of business for years and now everybody goes to the parking lot to drift.

First go kart was gas. It wasnt all that fast but it was pretty fun. Even though I couldnt pass anyone because the girl in front of me wouldnt let me so I kinda bumped into her aggressively just to pass her. She still wouldnt move. Theres a sharp turn and I know I could have pass her but she stays to the right (which I can stay to the left and turn left) but she just cuts in. If I were to try and pass her she would hit going 25 mph so I just stayed behind her bumping into her lol.

The second go kart place was just accross the street. Even though this one isnt fast because its electric my friend asked the guy if he can put it faster and he did. Now it was pretty fun because you start off by going up and turning right on a hill and over a bridge. Then you decend down turning right and under the bridge and turn left and left and starts over again. Both my friends and I slow down and get into each lane and then floor it! One of my friends kart just stops lol and both me and my friend are gone. We end up lapping him lol and us hearing him swearing at that kart lol. He ended up having a free lap. Oh and we were going like 15 mph on electric. Oh well still fun.

We also had this crazy idea to build our own go kart!! lol I dont know when we are going to start but we will soon!

 

We have a place here in Pensacola called Sams Fun City and they have a slick track. The carts range from about 20-35mph (the blue one was always fast) and they throw some baby powder down on the track so you can slide. Also, when you hit the brakes hte back tires lock up so you can slide. We just usually take some baby powder with us and dump it all over the track! It is like drifto fest when my group of people go there!

 

i've always wanted to drive one of those shifter karts that go like 60mph
