If you look at the symbols you'll notice there's a crap load of a particular one and when you click the ball that's the one it shows you.

It worked for me the first time, but the second time it did not. And I chose numbers in my head without looking to the right until I got the "final number".

Umm if the thing didn't work for you that means you didn't do it right... Not all that hard to follow directions. Its made in such a way that every number will end up with the same symbol. The symbols change every time so you will get a new one if you try it again.

I hat eto burst everyone's bubble, but like stated previously...if it didn't work, that's your bad. It has to do with 9's. It's supposedly the "magic" number. 90% of magic tricks that deal with numbers and/or math revolve around 9's. Your answer will always be a multiple of 9.

Just to make sure everyone is doing it right...if you picked 27 as your number:

2+7=9
27-9=18

18 is going to be the number beside the symbol that should show up in the ball. If you pick 69(one of my favorite numbers):

6+9=15
69-15=54

The final answer will always be divisible by 9.
