OK, this dude at my school has a civic with 3 10 inch subs and all of that and a APC intake, and he thinks he can beat me o yea its an lx so it has a non-vtec sohc d16y6 that has 106 HP, he had a 240sx before and sold it, says his civic is faster. He also says my cltuch sucks because it hydralic, even no he has 98 civic which im sure has a hydralic clutch to. ANY wayz I have exhaust/intake/short shifter/front and rear strut bars and he has an intake and he thginks his car is sooooooo much lighter than mine. LoL even with subs. So he wants to race me somewhere in the country, how many cars do you think i can take him by?

well, My friend has a 94 LX mostly stock except an Injen Intake, he has raced it at the local strip a few times, his best time is 13.3xx and mine in my 240 when it was stock with a slipping clutch was 10.8 his is an auto, so that slowed him down a lot.

but there's some actual numbers for you.

I have a CRX with a b18 in it, intake, header, exaust, lightned fly-wheel and ecu. And even with that I'd be willing to wager that you could possibly beat me. Sounds to me like that guy has rice for brains.

Yea. LoL he also swears on everything his car burns out threw the rear wheels, im like ok SHOW ME! yea well anywayz he is a really crappy driver, he revs up to like 3000 just to get going just driving regularly and presses the gas before his shifts. I have my permit I did that the first week I started driving stick, hes had his license for 2 months and he still sucks, o yea he takes turns hella fast, the car has so much body roll, I am amzaed how well our cars handle compared to civics.

98' civic lx (non vtec sohc): 2412lb/106hp = 22.75:1
90' 240sx se (ka24e): 2684lb/140hp = 19.17:1

neither one of you have any major mods. besides, who the hell takes a civic lx and try to do anything with it? i had a 96 civic ex coupe (sohc vtec) modded out with a dynoed 122hp@wheels (~145-150hp flywheel) it may have been able to beat you.....but it pisses me off that guys like this puts an autozone intake on and a fart pipe and thinks he's badass.....give honda guys a bad name....fyi my other car is a 95' gsr (supercharger is on order)

but i don't see why Neferdite's B18 CRX could possibly lose to your sohc 240.

my suggestion to you is just to say "whatever loser" and let him on his way, it's not worth the ticket.

Yea, He doesnt even have the fart can yet. I dont get it I tryed to explain to him how his car was a little lighter than mine but with all the crap he put on thier 3 subs, underglow, etc its just as heavy and that my car has 34 more hp and prob 50lbs of torque more but he said that my engine is over rated and that "its ok when you start taking off but topend sucks so bad!" He said Hindas are known for putting down way more Hp at the wheels compared to the factory HP ratings lol. I was just like yea sure. And he also says his ram air intake is a cold air intake lol, I was trying to show him how when the engine is hott al the hott air goes in it. LOL. This kinda stuff just makes me mad cuz I am so dedicated to my car Ive always loved anything powered by an internal combustion engine and always research on this stuff, and people like him that read super street think they know everything cuz they look at the pictures.

With the weight of all of his stereo ****, he is probably slower than a stock civic. Hell, just the APC intake alone probably makes slower than a stock civic. Being top of the line Sear's quality and all.

once you hit 3 gear you'll leave him more than 2 cars lenghts like far far behind trust me! i'd say 4 or more i crushed the civic si so you'll destroy him
