that car us just down right ugly. why anyone would spend that kind of money on that when they can buy a far better looking 240 is beyond me.

not to mention it held the top speed record for a production car for a short while lol now an american car holds the title forgot the name but all i know it weights 2700lbs and has a twin turbo V-8 top speed 257.3 mph but its geared for 276mph lol

With how much VW has spent on r&d for the veyon, it seems that it can do everything better than these competitors(in the vid) and still be 2 tons. The veyron isn't supposed to be pretty or substantially baller-looking. It's a big statement by VW saying "we can do it, and we did." they lost so much money but apparently caught the world with it's pants down.

I don't think anyone has beaten the Bugatti and taken the title, looked on wiki so I may be wrong, though they did say a Corvette went faster but it was a limited run car. I got a kick out of the speed a F1 car laid down on the wiki article. Honda did a speed of 258, and Honda is far from the best at making F1 cars.

 

There are modified cars that can go faster than the veryon but it holds the title for being a production car. The viper Hennessy kills the veryon on top end but its not a production car.

its a shelby car and they consider it a Production car so it beats the Bugatti at top speed for a production car

 

^^ nice. I'm by no means a veryon nut swinger, I just never read anything about that car.
