electronic music has way too many genres and sub genres to be all listed under "techno."

but eh, to each his/her own

I <3 electronic music, notice the avatar lol. Anyways, tunes i like to drive to:

Dj tiesto-Traffic, Suburban train, Flight 643, Love Comes Again
Paul Oakenfold- Ready Steady Go
Eric Prydz- Aftermath, Nile
Marc Marberg- Guarana
Bubbles-Bidibodi Bidbu (its the song playing in the porsche in super troopers)
ATB- 9pm, Let You Go
Faithless- Insomnia
Ferry Corsten- Punk (one of the songs in driftworks 3), Fire
Man With No Name- Teleport, Sly-Ed
iio- Rapture
Mike Koglin- sequential
Push- Strange World

Or you can make it easy on yourself and go buy The Politics of Dancing by Paul Van Dyk because its the best trance cd ever produced. It's the only cd I own that I can listen to over and over and it's still good. Make sure you get the first one cause the politics of dancing 2 isn't as good.

I picked that up recently as i started getting into prog like 2 months ago. Sasha has a very unique sound/feel to his sets, I like him alot. My favorite Sasha set so far is from Southfest 2005 in Buenos Aires, you can listen to it at djsasha.com, click multimedia then live sets, its the third one down on the left. Unfortunately it only streams, but if you've got the time for it, it's worth a listen.

Ok im gonna go back to researching tires now

Well I didn't know many techno artists, so I looked up a couple of those and now I'm hooked on Ferry Corsten's music.

I'm sorry, but Darude is total crap~ all that mainstream pop e-music is what gives electronic music a bad name. PVD is the OG God. Avb, Sasha, and FC are good in their own respect. James Zabiela is pretty good too. I tend to think dance music belongs on the dance floor though... All My Life from the Foo Fighters usually puts the pedal to the metal. The Distance by Cake is a classic too.
