EVERYONE: Please sign this petition to prevent drag strip from closing down
The drag strip is LI Motorsport Park in Long Island NY.

Please go to the petition below. Even if you don't go to this drag strip, or live on the other side of the world, closing this strip will just mean more kids racing illegally on the sreet. Also read some of the comments by the signers.

To: Long Island Motorsports Park/Southampton Town Board
Linda Kabot, Southampton Town board member, is trying to
close the Long Island Motorsports Park in
Westhampton, Long Island, New York. The owner of the
drag strip, Joanne Chimeri, is trying to sell the
property to a building developer who wants to build 240
homes on the site. However, in order for this
developer to build on the site the current zoning needs to
be changed.
This is the last remaining drag strip on Long Island. If this
track closes, the people who currently race
there on a weekly basis will be forced to go elsewhere, such
as Island Dragway, Atco Raceway or Old
Bridge Township Raceway Park, all of which are located in
New Jersey.
Please sign this petition, which will be sent to the
Southampton Town Board and the owners of Long
Island Motorsports Park, in order to show support for
keeping the track alive.
