First cars

What was your first car? Mine was a 90 beretta GTZ w/a QUAD4 motor that produced 180hp from the factory!! Unfortunatly it broke down on me once a month and turned out to be a POShttp://www.bstuff.com/uploads/post-15-1064522363.jpg http://www.bstuff.com/uploads/post-21-1064464895.jpg

Noodles 09-25-2003 02:11 PM

Mine was a 1993 Geo Storm gsi. Crapped out and does'nt run. shops say it would cost a grand to fix it. Get the hell outta here.

95_240SXSE 09-25-2003 04:07 PM

Sil40_Mayhem 09-26-2003 06:36 AM

1st car (@16 yrs old): 1984 Subaru GL sedan 5-speed (complete w/rusted floorpan under the driver's seat:D ). death: front axle toasted during some "spirited" snow driving.:naughty:

2nd car (@17 yrs old): 1984 (again?) Dodge Colt hatch auto. death: tranny had a HUGE leak. lost the fluid, lost all forward gears while out w/friends.:( had to drive about 2 miles home in reverse (thank God for back roads:D ).

1st car bought (@19 yrs old: 1990 Nissan Stanza XE 5-speed. i loved this ***** to death (literally). speaking of which, death: threw a rod on the way home from work! didn't know too much about cars when i had this one (not like i do now), but i kept the oil changed every 4000-5000 miles, tuned up periodically, even put in a new head gasket. then again, she was on her last leg when i bought her...

Bryan 09-26-2003 01:39 PM

My first car was a 1993 Nissan Altima. This thing was the ultimate P.O.S. I had so much trouble with this car. From bad brakes, bad starter, bad alternator, dented doors, blown tranny (the only thing that was totally my fault). The most embarassing thing was though when I found out the alternator was dead. I was at the speaker of the taco bell drive through when the damn car died. My friends had to get out of the car and push me to the window:confused:

Got rid of that thing, and now I got my baby, my 240sx:D

clikzip 09-26-2003 01:59 PM

1st: 92 nissan altima, auto, liked it but i wanted a 300zx or a 240 so i sold it

Wow you guys have interesting first cars, i wish my 240sx was my first then i would have a lot more done to it!:D

JR.h1jax0r 09-29-2003 09:01 PM

My first car was a 1G Eclipse. It was a good car, but found it's end when it had a small meeting with black ice. the ice decided it didn't like my car, and sent it to it's friend, chevy blazer who was waiting me with open arms on the side of the road.

My second car was the ultimate POSer. The Ford Tempo. If that car breaks down now, I'd be surprised. I've changed just about everything on it except for the internals. I might rip Ford off of it and put Advance Auto on it instead

Current car is my 240, and I hope to keep it for quite some time

They call it a ford tempo because it takes all your tiempo (spanish for money) to fix it:laugh:

drnovascotia 10-03-2003 12:17 PM

My first baby was a 1990 Celica St. This baby had a 1.6L DOHC with an AMAZING 103HP, lol. I loved that car, but my god it was slower than a retarded prostitute.

Dr.

Neferdite 10-04-2003 10:57 AM

SLIDE OR DIE 10-05-2003 02:45 PM

amplesx 10-09-2003 07:48 AM

My first car is the one I have now:

Black 1995 240sx
manual
fo $2000

Great condition, i got lucky though, a family member sold it to me.:naughty:

Propagandalf 10-09-2003 10:32 AM

Still have my first.
1995 HOnduH Accord, daily driver, occasional autoX'er

I love it. It gets great mileage, never screws up unless I do something to it, looks great (ignore the side panels-those are speed wrinkes-you get them from backing into other cars), but most importantly-It has good resale value.

LigouriRd 10-15-2003 12:36 PM

My first car was a 1985 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado (RWD). Bought for 4k back in '95. Unfortuneately I still have it (it barely runs now, head gasket leak). Used to be pretty pimp to watch people scurry away as the beast drifted sideways up the street in the rain (gottal love them LSDs).

Second car, er truck-00' GMC Sonoma ZQ8 (like a chevy xtreme w/o the body kit)

Second and a half-95' GMC Jimmy 4X4(split the cost with my father)

Third-96 Nissan 240S. After a year of ownership, I will never by a truck again.

WhateverJames 10-20-2003 05:26 PM

87 Dodge Omni. Oh yeah. The shocks were blown and when I'd come to a stop light I'd keep pulling the e-brake for the 'hydraulics' effect. And when I wanted the back to dip down, I'd hold the e-brake and give it gas. I could put on a show at the stoplights. Girls would laugh but I'm not sure if it was at or with me. :dunno: :)

ixcocoyxi 10-21-2003 01:59 AM

my first car.. well.. 1988 toyota pickup.. hella sikk.. still have it.. kinda maroon/burgendee or sumthin.. all clear lenses w/diamond cut headlights.. tires that stick out about an inch from the fenders.. (it was dropped until i gave it back to my dad) and a matching camper shell.. there was a system in it (2 2"rockfords + 200 watt amp + alpine deck + 6 6.5s) mad lighting in the interior and swapped steering wheel.. but my dad took all that stuff out.. oh well..

Old saying...meaning beat to sh1t and not maintained. Horses were not to be ridden hard and then just put in the barn while they were all sweatie.
