o no generation 2 is already out theres 30% faster outta the box and have a redesigned chassis. here's the link for all the info. http://www.xmodsrc.com/home/index.php

the generation 2 stuff is compatible with the gen 1 stuff i believe and vise versa as far as i know.

I have been drifting since I got it almost two years ago when they first came out. You just put tape on the wheels and you can drive/drift pretty good once you have the 4wd upgrade, etc. THey then came out with drift wheels for the 1gen that where way to slick for most surfaces but I can drift it at full speed around my carpeted basement. No drift wheels for 2gen but you can drift them on wood floors easy.

and 2nd gen parts dont work with 1gen only the command lights do.

i actually don't suggest u go with radioshack brand mods search google or ebay and u get loads of "aftermarket" (to radioshack anyway) motors for example
