Dont get an R6 to start on.....


I started on a 2001 Kawi 6R... 6 months later i wrecked it. I fixed it though, but its tough knowing that you spenk $6K on a bike then saw it all mangled up...all for a simple mistake. An R6, just like an R1 has too much power for its weight, and too good of handling for a beginner.. You MUST use restraint and maturity when riding on the street or you WILL get hurt. Most car operators DO NOT notice bikes..

Allstate does not do bike insurance anymore. The bike is the only thing that I dont have on my Allstate policy

No.. I just moved here last month.


Its liability only. I dont think any insurance will give full coverage i.e. medical...if you go down on your own.. If your involved in a wreck and its a cager's fault then THEY will pay for medical.

Id like to get a bike... but maybe later, I have too much at hand to deal with rite now... but if I had the $ and less worries... man Id get one, get u over here so u me and Ordie go up to Salmon Falls and cruise that area... bikers out here love that spot man...


but a bike is in my future... gotta free up myself first...

R1 is 1 liter. You're thinking R6.

 

ya know... the funny thing is the R7 is like 30K and the R1 is only wut, 12 - 13K...

But I rather get the circuit R7 instead... more faster than R1 (racing R7 that is)

as for dynoing at 160. I can see the R1 doing that. Hell it makes around 150 stock anyway. Somebody confused me when they said R6 w/160hp

 

Yamaha has the street legal R6, R1 and they have a 700cc bike known as the R7 which retails at 30K.

the R7 is Yamaha's pure-bred racing bike, all of its knowledge and tuning concepts were put together to develope this bike. Technically speaking the track racing version of the R7 can out perform the street R1 hands down, now with that much power and advance concept in a bike, Yamaha had to down-tune and restrict the bike as much as possible to be able to sell it out on the street... with that in mind, and the fact that they had to do so much to it, the R7 comes with a hefty price tag for it... but then Id rather take that 30K and buy a 2000 Lex GS300, drop a 2JZE under the hood kit it out Ab-Flug style, and then buy an R6... the 6 is all I need for cruising

 

the r1 would easily outperform the r7, theres a difference tho, the r1 has more power but the r7 is alot lighter because it is pretty much a street legal race bike, and another thing about the r7, there was only about 100 of em ever made, so even if u have the 30k for it good luck finding one, im pretty sure theres only about 10 of em in the us too..., alot of companies bought em up as project bikes to showplace performance parts. I love my r1 but i would easily trade it any day for an r7

 

would still rather spend the 30K on a Lex GS...

 

id spend 30 on a 94 supra TT and fix it up a little...

 

I'd get a Lexus SC300 and swap a TT 2jz.... Just to contunue with the Toyota thing that's goin..

 

I would so do that... but then, at this moment in life, I rather go with the retirement car (retire from car tuning for speed) jus make it look nice and give it some extra power (supercharge) and let it be... no need for speed for me now, jus cruise, and chill with a grl
