Hey all, I'm not on here much, but I came on looking for some pics to draw awhile back. I did 3 vector images for one of the members here. Anyway, I was wondering whay you guys think of my situation here.

This forum is affiliated with Altimas.net. I was on altimas.net yesterday trying to sell a bluebird emblem that's been sitting around. I didn't want to go through the entire process of reposting my entire thread, so I jus linked it to a classifieds ad I already had on Nissanforums. Well apparently, Altimas.net has some sorta big thing against Nissanforums.com and it's affiliates. The Word itself (nissanforums) has been banned from use on their precious forums. I even tried hosting the image, however the link 1997ga16de.nissanpower.com/myimage.jpg came up as: 1997ga16de.***********.com/myimage.jpg so the word nissanpower is also banned.

I wrote the thread out and I made note that they have to connect the word Nissan and forums together for the link to work. In doing so I made a note that it is really stupid that they should ban those words and that they are asses. I also mentioned FREEDOM FRIES about 4 or 5 times to make my point. Well, I checked back today and not only did they delete the thread from existance, they banned me as well.

So now I ask you, what do you think of this. Was I right to be angry that I can't write those forbbiden words on their virgin forums or was I causing trouble? I was posting a legitimate ad to sell some parts.

One thing that irritates me tho is Altimas.net is against anything Nissanforums. They are against Nissanperformancemag, they are against sentra.net and they are against SE-R.net. It is my opinion that forums are created to bring people together, not seperate them out like races. Am I right?????? Why is altimas.net so dedicated to seperating us all out?

I jus wanted to see it from another point of view, I appreciate anyone's opinion. I'm not here to start any trouble or to get banned. That's all.

BTW, they never warned me before they banned me. I'm a moderator on NF. I've been around long enough to know how far is too far and I know I didn't step over the line. It is also common practice on NF to at least warn the person of what they are doing wrong before we ban them.

that's pretty ***ked up. and i thought the **** between zilvia, FA, and NICO was petty. but to outright ban the NAMES of other sites? no wonder i hear people talkin so much **** about altimas.net.

wow, that's pretty twisted. i wonder if that's the same bigbird that's an administrator here. anyhow, before i go flying off the handle or crusading one way or the other, i'd like to know the whole story as to why things are like that over there. also, i'd like to hear what bigbird has to say. the transcript that u posted is most unflattering, yet it doesn't seem typical of a site admin. from what i've seen of 240SEX and PSM (our admins), AZHitman (NICO), and Neo (240sxforums), most site admins employ some degree of tact and professionalism in the way they handle things. this is not to say that i'm regarding ur statements as BS, but rather that experience has taught me to get the whole picture before coming to a conclusion.

I'm really not sure what the big fight is all about. Our Admin (Scott on NF) and Bigbird have had something big come between them, but I honestly don't know what it is. BigBird (I don't know his real name) for some reason Hates Scott major, neither will say why, but at least Scott hasn't been a baby about it. I know a bunch of Altima people that are on both forums and I've heard that bigbird is a real dick, If you are not 100% loyal to Altimas.net and say ANYTHING against it, he will **** you over. I even tried to re-register and they banned my account b4 it was even activated. I really don't care about going back there, I've been there over a year and a half and I only had like 20-something posts. It's just the fact that he's such an ***, it's like communism, say anything bad about them, they will kill you, no questions asked.

I know I called the admin an ***, but seriously, I don't consider that stepping over the line. For a first offense, no forum would INSTANTLY ban me for saying that. Not without a PM or email of some sort.

 

Mike (bigbird) you should also know is in charge of all the nissanclub forums, which happen to include this site. The administrators you speak of 240sex and psm also happen to be 2 of his best friends. So posting that he is a dick on here is not wise. If you were banned from altimas.net, then no offense but you probably deserved it.

Look, I really don't care if I am banned from the Nissanclub sites. The point is, I didn't deserve to be banned from there and I don't deserve to be banned from here. I'm a moderator on 2 of my forums, I'm on about 10 or so Nissan affiliated forums, and prolly 3 general car forums, I've been around long enough to know if and when I do something wrong.

If your admins want to ban me, then fine, but why would they, to defend their friend or b/c I'm soiling the 240 forums with my Nissanpower blood? It's not my fault Mike is segregating the Nissan community. I only came here asking for opinions.

All I know is if mike keeps it up, there won't be many people left on altimas.net. He's running it like a communist country, deleting anything said against him and killing anyone that defies him without question. Just remember, the US is made up of people who have fled from other coutries with harsh ruling. People shouldn't HAVE to agree with everything a president, admin, king, dictator, etc. does. We are in America and if I'm allowed to have my own opinion about Bush, then I should be able to express my opinion about a forum leader.

If you want my honest opinion, I think creating a screen name to start a fight with him is gay and immature. As is crying about it on a sister site. And if you are from Nissan Performance Magazine, then I agree with his actions and his attitude 110%. That is all.

 

1. I didn't do it to start a fight, I jus went on AIM to see what kind of guy he was I didn't want to use my real name.

2. Who's crying about it? I jus wanted to know what you guys think. I'm not on there anymore so I figured you guys are the next best people to ask. If you are against me, that's fine, I jsut thought u guys should know how he treats his members. This is the Off Topic section, I think I have a right to post this sort of stuff up and not be flamed for being a "Cry Baby."

I have a right to be on that forum and chat with other Nissan People, I sometimes post up events and such in the Florida section (being a member of Orlando forums and staff or the UCF car club), we host alot of events.

3. I am not part of NPM, I gave them a brake upgrade article this month, but I do not represent them. I think it is a great magazine and it is one of the best things to happen to nissan enthusiasts. If you or Bigbird hates NPM, than that's your call, I jus don't see why he would have to be an *** about it. Like I said, I'm fine with BigBird carying on this stupid grudge of his, but I am not fine with the wayhe treats his members and the way he seperates the community like they are their own race.

I'm sorry I'm not on here enough for you to take me seriously, but don't treat me like a stupid newbie troll, I have a perfectly good reason to be mad.

People tell me to drop it and quit wining about it, but that's their opinion. I know there's nothing that I can do about t, I know there's nothing I can really change about this issue, but I feel like posting it.
