my friend bondo'd his gas lid shut one time, to get the "smooth" look and relocated the filling neck, etc into his truck bed.
It wasn't a smooth job cuz you could still see the outlines of the lid door and when he went to the gas station the dude dug his fingernails into it and just cracked all the painted bondo open and stuck the pump in, it was the funniest ****

what do you use henry? i fiberglassed mine a while ago and it cracked like two weeks after. I just stitch it. lol, maybe throw on a new coat after a while to get rid of the yellow also. hahaha

you can try using Kitty Hair or something more commercial grade than bondo.
but either way its going to crack again especially on the low *** cars.
