music

there are too many great bands that have just faded away....

this is for them

(pouring out my 40 oz)

seriously though, what the hell is happening with music today? it sounds to me like the alternative scene is shifting back towards a 70's type of sound...i dont like it

i loved that early/mid-90's grunge sound that bands like nirvana and pearl jam pioneered but now those days are gone : (

i'm such a bad ***

i guess your right.....it was called alternative music because it didn't fit any other catergory....at the time there wasn't punk or ska...metal was just metal

now theres black metal, death metal, speed metal, gloom rock, ect.

i guess it went out as soon as it became the norm

You are one silly man..... Punk was started in 1976 by the Ramones and Ska was started in the early 1950's by the Skatalites. Metal is pretty *** backwords too. All metal is now is one very $hitty rip of of Hardcore which was started in 1978 by Bad Brains.

I can't quote the times the bands started but don't you hate it when your uncool love becomes mainstream? I just can't wait for my favorite items to become uncool. JDM is almost dieing down and I can't wait for the buzz on the 240 to die.

Are you saying the Sex Pistols, Blondie, and The Clash weren't mainstream? Hell, new wave was all repackaged punk bands same as grunge, 'cept 10 years earlier.
