My buddy's Del Sol had an unfortunate accident
So yeah, I was following a buddy to his house tonight and when we turned down one of the streets (doing only about 20) he somehow lost control of the rear end of his Del Sol. At the time I thought he was just messing with me, being that my 240 is RWD... so the *** whipped around, then swung right into a ditch... I immediately stopped and ran over to the car and he told me he was gonna try to drive out. It seemed feasible.
So he revs it, and it scoots foreward just short of pulling out. He tries again, but this time the car backfired, igniting fuel which had splashed out of the breather tube he told me fell off. So now we have a Del Sol with a fire under its *** (no pun intended). I pulled his girlfriend out while he superman'd out... and we ran across the street to the neighbors' house and grabbed an extinguisher while I called the fire department. So we get it out (or at least we assumed), and a few seconds later it lights back up... we get it out again and it stays out right as the fire truck pulled up and doused the ground with water.
There's no real damage to the car that we can see, other than the front passenger's body panels need to be realigned. Tomorrow we pull the fuel pump to make sure it still works, and check the fuel lines.
And don't you dare go off on those stupid "haha, stupid FWD" or "lolz, the ricer deserved it"...that's f***ed up.
