My Project

Well here is my new project. I am really into RC cars. I had a Ford f-350 High Lift but i got run over by a car.

I found this killer 1966 mustang on ebay for $30 because of a broken front axle and saw my next project.
[dohtml][/dohtml]
So I went to the book store and purchased 1 mustang book and 2 hotrod books to help with the build. I have never built a scale car, so I needed some material to help me get started.

After reading up, here is the new frame and roll cage.
[dohtml][/dohtml]

Here are a few shots of the wheels and tires that I found for the build.

Here is the old chassis, it is going to the junk yard, but the wheels were pretty cool in the day.

So time for the specs:

Brass chassis and roll cage
Tamiya semi rear axle
maybe some mini t shocks
tamiya m chassis wheels and tires
possibly some twin motors under the opening hood of the car.
full lights and interier

More to come

Update

Here are some pics of the body dissassembled, and nothing broke, but it did take a few hours to get everything loose.

cool, but I keep it simple, Xmods, and 1:10 electric, especially since my 2nd nitro car blew in less than 2 months.

just using a cheap 1:10 radioshack RSX now and Xmod fully done tC with my own straight line upgrade.

What is that frame made out of? I like how the rust was even true to the original.
