My trip to So. Cal '08.

I try to visit a friend of mine in CA every year. I haven't been since 05. That trip I went from San Francisco (2 days) to Newport beach (2 days) by driving down the PCH. It was a great trip to say the least.

This year I flew in to Long beach, and stayed in So Cal for the Toyota Grand Prix in Long beach.

View outside my friends apt:

Car we rocked for the week:

ISF:
V8
420 hp
8 forward gears (smg)
8 piston front calipers
No gap it can't close.

Random Race picture:

Got a seat at turn 9 sitting with Acura. Great place to see wrecks. 10 feet from the cars as they flew by. They also gave us a VIP tour of their pits, and got a chance to talk to their crew chief and drivers. Many thanks to Acura for being so hospitable.

It was a great trip and I got to meet a lot of great people.Did so much stuff I'd take too long to write up in a post. If you can get out to the Long Beach Grand Prix go for it, it a ton of fun and it's in beautiful So. Cal. It was hard to get the cars in the frame since I have a silly amateur camera, so I took videos. I'll upload those later.

Enjoy the pix.

There are more here.

damnnnn that car looks hella fun.

so like, can i go down to the hertz place and rent one for a day?

or is it one of those things where you need to show an out of state ID or passport, so people don't just take it on joyrides?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The ISF didn't come from Hertz. My friend happened to have the car for the week I was visiting. It's Lexus North America Property. This car is Pre Production. My friend is an automotive journalist. He received the ZR1 the day after I left.

HAHAHAHAHA It would've been hilarious if someone went to Hertz and actually asked for an Aveo Sport. You do know the Aveo is the Chevy Metro replacement right?

Blah, you took my hopes and dreams of bashing up one down the drain...

But it is one of the top contenders for my next car. And that is another story in its own.

Just took another peek at the pics, the front tires look a wee bit thin if you ask me...
