New Movie Reviews **NO SPOILERS PLEASE**
So after reading yarou's Sweeney Todd thread, and cronux's National Treasure thread, I figured, why not start a "New Movie" thread. I'd love to hear some of your opinions on new movies before shelling out $20 of my hard earned cash.
Post what new movie you saw, and a brief summary of what you thought of it:
GO!

Oh yeah, forgot that part. Please try not to include any spoilers, or at least warn if it must be done.
Man, I wish I could start us off with a review, but I haven't seen anything new for a while.

Hitman
Good movie, good casting too. It's been a while since I've seen it but it was worth the cash to go. Lots of action and a believable script, and some okay humor too. I thought Agent 47 should have been the guy from The Transporter but Tim Olyphant suprpised me.
Juno
Good movie, better if you have a date, but still by no means a 'romantic' type movie so you're good to go even if you're with a group of guys/girls. Movie revolves around Juno's pregnancy and what is going to happen to the baby. Good plot twists and i was laughing through the whole movie, though i sometimes have a weird sense of humor.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets
Good for the first hour and a half or so, but gets wildly unbelievable towards the end. Horrible writing, the movie could have been easily been changed to appear more believable. Picks up where the first National Treasure left off. The first hour was actually pretty good. Oh, and there will be a National Treasure 3.

I thought Juno was definitely an amazing movie too, I'm sure all the dudes can relate simply because most of us get scared as **** when the girlfriend's periods come late. And then you consider all the options, like "Should we have an abortion? Can we handle having a child? What the ****?" and then she has her period the very next morning and you go "phew"

lol i know that feeling Henry. But anyways I thought as weird as Juno (the character) was, her character was still incredibly believable. And the kid from Superbad seemed younger in this movie than in Superbad, and the characters actually seemed like they were in high school unlike other movies that use older actors.

AVP-Requiem, I like the Aliens and Predator movies and I enjoyed this one but I still like the first AVP movie better than this one. Theres a couple of cool things in it that remind you of the first Predator movie so that was a plus. The movie that I really wanted to see was No Country For Old Men...anyone seen this?

Cloverfield Big monster shows up to destroy New York City. Amazing CG and filmmaking, great acting, but HUGE holes in the story. Almost no questions are resolved. Why is the monster there? Where did it come from? Slusho was not worked into the movie except on the t-shirt of one of the characters. However, I like how the entire movie moves in near real time. First movie I can think of that has ever done that. You do see the monster though.

Cloverfield. It freakin' rocked! I like how the story was told through the handheld camera, the special effects were excellent. The fact that you couldn't exactly tell what you saw added to the overall fear effect. Left the theatre thinking WTF in a good way!
