will it fit in an s14? haha. wow. big.

Darren337 02-28-2005 10:44 PM

jay leno's tankrod is the largest i know of that goes on a road.

http://www.popularmechanics.com/auto...o/1302941.html

his engine, a Patton tank diesel from WWII is rated at 1792cu.in. (29.4 liters), pumps 800 horses and 1560ft-lb. of torque.

as for the big bertha of engines, i shiver at the thought of blowing a piston ring, or even just changing the oil.

Yea it'll fit you have to get a frontclip. I think JapanMotor has them. Nah seriously that thing is huge.

yeah i saw that clip *hehehe* its the FH254800DET2. a full clip from a container ship.

FYI, yes the motor code is a joke... FH254800DET2

254800 (displacement: 25,480 liters)
DET (yeah you know that)
2 (for two-stroke)
and just if you're wondering, FH is the motor code for ****ING HUGE!!!

i wonder what other real world applications something like this could be used for though.

ONYX S-13 03-02-2005 08:34 AM

Rocket ship?

twofotisx 03-02-2005 08:55 AM

It's so freaking huge that it looks fake. I mean looking at those pics you can tell it isn't a spoof but good frucking lord. 108,000 + hp? Like if you had that in a street car the second you hit the gas if the axle didn't break into a million pieces, the tires and rim would be instantly consumed.

^^ hahaha yeah there we go! i thought about using it to fling something catapult status. mount the egine high up and put a long counterweighted arm on the flywheel... see how far you can launch a civic.

Sleeperella 03-02-2005 10:14 PM

somehow it reminds me of them midget/troll/elves or watever they are that makes shoes when u r sleeping (i bet u all know them cartoon im referring to right?) well anyway, it just looks like an human being shrunked down into cell phone sizes and work on an engine, i wish i cna turn myself tiny so i can figure out wtf is going on with my damn climate control backlight, sigh but then again if i can turn small, i would rob the bank, hahaha and get myself a brand new car! and buy up all the 240 there is out there, so then i cna rice them all out and get everyone pissed off, muahah!!

Driftmonster 03-03-2005 02:20 AM

silver240esex 09-27-2005 06:25 PM

That is some bad a$$ engineering. What do you expect from the same people who brought us the wonderfull 240? I also saw something about this engine on the discovery channel. I think modern marvels or or worlds largest machines....something like that. Bad ass engine though!

KeN VeRsUs RyU 09-27-2005 06:31 PM

Maybe it's japanese engineering but it's produced in Korea. Kind of like what the U.S. does to maximize profits. Production in another country where they can exploit their workers and not have to worry about labor codes. Fu*k@n B!tches!!
