I just feel a kinship of sorts, LEO and Military . . . sounds like a lot of my firearm enthusiast buddies out here.
SO! Does anyone know of any places where second-hand guns can be purchased? Budsgunshop has good prices and I'm comfortable using them, but I just don't want to be limited to one site. Any recommendations?
ON the subject of purchasing . . .I found out that this nifty thing called layaway makes nice, previously unattainable, firearms easy to purchase. LOL!

well since we are talking guns, i was in the army recently got out, so i know a few things. Anyways, im holding off on the ar cuz i used it too much and they suck... currently i am waiting on the bushmaster acr. they are killing me on the release of it cuz it is so badass cannot wait. In the meantime i rock my para-ordinance 1911 with dual action and spurrless hammer. yummy!!!

I dunno about the AR, but I thought my M16A2 was pretty bad ***. The A3s were definitely melt-worthy, I liked those a lot.
I dunno, there are a lot of AR clones out there, some better than others, it's all in which you go with and how much cheddar you're willing to put down. It's copied so frequently for a reason.

yeah io know what u mean about the ars but theyre copied cuz its so simple of a design. I guess the civilian versions are better built than what the military has... the acr however, i do remember them sayin it was only going to be $1500, so that kinda disappoints me T.T

The civilian ARs seem to be more reliable due to the fact that most owners (like myself) source the most reliable parts from different companies and bring them together. An AR15 mut, if you will. But I know for a fact that mine will hold out longer than the next guy's, who bought everything built from say, S&W.

Dude, you shoulda seen my buddie's demo AR from his shop, it out lasted the S&W M&P AR... and that says a good amount. The only AR he couldnt beat, was the H&K AR. My God I want one of those... 1000 rounds fired off like a mad man, and the barrel was cool to the touch!

the biggest complain about the ar is that it's not an ak. by that i mean that it can't be abused and still keep on firing. regular cleaning and proper maintenance will insure that your ar will lead a long and prosperous life.
although i will be getting an ak myself, a saiga. it's dressed up as hunting rifle but can be easily altered to look like the original ak.
so if you want a piston gun get an ak, a piston ar is a bad mix imo. it's too soon to tell but i suspect carrier tilt may be a bigger issue than most think.
