Alright alright!

More progress . . .got my pads and rotors installed along with some new rear tires . . .gotta get a chance to burn those off.

So I ventured off to put these:

Into the car . . .and just as I'm leaving, the mail man shows up . . .with an extra little present from Apexi . . .

Gotta love the N1 exhaust, once my car cools down, I'm going to slap that up there.

Anyhow . . .

Got things rolling, got to the place and they started first with the tires

And here's the new rubber sitting on my baby's shoes . .

Now it's time for rotordom . . .now I helped out this entire process (which is how I cracked such a sweet deal, so I don't have many pictures of the process . . .but the ending . . OOOO WEE!!

I still have 500+ miles before I can really start using them, but I can't wait, so far they feel excellent!!!!

Next up . . .the exhaust goes in!!!

That exhaust looks tiny, like 2 inch.

It's 2.5 inch piping, I don't need 3 inches because I'm not turboed yet.

looking good.

aside from the worn/outdated characteristics of the corrola i still have prefer that car. seeing a how it was going to take money just to get it into decent shape i'd agree that you made the right decision.

Okay, here we go . . .the old exhaust comes out . . .the new one goes in . .

It's pretty straight forward and bolt up, so that takes some of the burden off.

Alright . . .now . . .here's a shot of the new exhaust fresh out the packaging . .

Here's the axle-back system with the shipping protection still on it . . . no no noooo . . .that silencer has to come out ^_^ (I'll find out later that this will prove to be QUITE difficult)

Here's a shot of the stock system before it comes out . . .a moment of silence for this workhorse of a setup as this is the last time this will exhaust system will be in this (or possibly any) Miata ever again . . .

.
.
.
.
.
.
Anyway . . . .

After unbolting the piping from the cat using a 14mm deep socket and an impact gun, I moved on to the hangers . . .that was probably the most difficult part of getting the system out (the hangers that is). They put up a good fight, but determination (and lots of WD-40) prevailed in this onslaught.

The system is out and all that's left is the manifold down to the cat . .

Here's a picture of the factory exhaust, stamp-bent, thin iron piping . .

Size: 195.1 KB

And here's my little sister comparing the old piping and muffler to the new . . (isn't she lovely? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Installation was basically the reverse of removal, it was actually quite easy and only took about 30 minutes of ACTUAL work . . .here's a few shots with it in . .

You can see that it really doesn't take much to do this kind of work when it's bolt up. It's when you have to cut and weld that things become trivial and troublesome . . .What's going to rock is when the turbo setup goes in and I'm able to boost my way passed the more powerful cars, LOL!

Those pictures will be up soon ^_^

Here's another pic (after I got through driving) for good measure . .

-I think your sister could beat me up. Really. Also anybody that says he should have kept the SR5 is a fuggin idiot. Stock for stock a miata would OWN the Corolla on a track. I think even S12's handle better than 86's.

Did your sister hurl the exhaust through the windshield after that second picture? It looks like it really did something to **** her off.
