Question Too Expensive???

Do you guys think that $2,180 is too much for a prom dress??? To my family it is, but to my friends it's not...so I'm a little confused!

jesus, your friends are richer than mine! and most of my friends parents drive $50k cars!

Or maby girls just think its acceptable to spend that much money on something you will wear for one day (or night) besides a wedding dress.

just pretend to get sick and spend the cash on car stuff.

i think its a bit much. buy something simple yet sexxy rather than a dress that you will wear once and never again

ditto what everyone else is saying..$2k is a bit much, plus if it's only for one night, a simple yet form fiting dress will usually make you stand out..of course, you have to have the form too...and you also have to think, how long your gonna be in it for

you gotta admit, wearing for a couple hours and then rockin and rollin in your birthday suit the rest of the night kinda says..anyways

plus that money can go into other things to make the night unforgettable and memorable like a horse carriage ride thru old town alexandria, a plush hotle room, a midnight cruise on the spirit of washington, a plush hotel room, an expensive dinner, a massage and what am I forgetting,...oh yeah a ver plush hotel room.....lol....hope you have a wonderful evening

ps.. don't forget to post the photos, but remember we prefer the video....lol

Don't mean to be rude but that is way to much. Esspecially on a prom dress. Your probably never going to wear it again, but who know maybe you might. But I just like to say that its way to much and its very unlikely that its something you would want to keep and show to your kids (or younger gen. family) and saying "I spend $2,180 on this dress, isn't it pretty?". If it was your wedding dress and you got it going on like that (getting alot of $$$$$) then it's ok (i guess).

I just wish I could have that much money, then I would hook up my ride (alittle) and show up at a fancy place to set a nice date with my girl. With all eyes on my car and some on my girl

But thats just me dreaming and being silly right now

Thank you all for your helpful advise! I just have to see how much my parents are willing to spend, so I don't know! Prom isn't until May 31st, but you see, I like to plan ahead---maybe WAY TOO ahead! But that's just me! Yeah, and I don't have a date yet, all the guys in my school are either dating each other or some Junior/Sophmore ho, so going with a guy in my school is DEFINITELY out of the question! I have to go shopping not only for a dress, but for a guy too !
You guys crack me up with your images of what I'm going to do on my prom night, hahaha...all I can tell you is that I am innocent, and that's that....hehehe.....
So definitely go with black and sexy? I like that idea, hmmm.....

Oh yeah, as for my friends, I think you need to read my post in the 740i Pics thread and you'll see what the typical person in my school is like!
