Unhappy trains and Z's dont mix well

Wow, this bites major hard monkey *****. My buddy was drivin his 280zx around and the left front tie-rod snapped. The tire came back and lodged under the car which made it slide. He couldn't get the brakes to stop the car and it ended up on the tracks. He said the rear tires were not touching the ground at all. Then a train came and you can all guess what happened. Fortunately, he got out of the car and ran. It trashed the entire left front of the car. Luckily when it hit, it just knocked the car out of the way. So now we got a crap 280zx with a 5-speed and a turbo under the hood. I have a good feeling if an 83 turbo 280zx trans will bolt to a 92 ka24de, my car is gonna be stick. And Im most definately takin the turbo since it is a T3. I will post some pics probably tomorrow night when I will be able to see the car.

Thanks dude It is really a big loss because this kid is like my brother and he always wanted a Z car. He had it for about 3 months and now it is gone. And we also both put a ton of work into making this car nice. But I think my 240 will take his Z parts into a new life and represent them well.

i agree w/JynX. as bad as it has to be to lose something that u worked so hard for, loosing ur life is a much worse outcome. i'm glad that he's alright, and i hope he finds another project car.

Thanks all. He will find another project car, I am making him get a 240sx. But until he does, he said he is gonna help me do everything to my car so he can gain the experience to work on his car when he gets one. I am very glad he is unharmed, I dont even want to know what it would be like to go to my best friend's funeral, and I dont ever want to know
