Don't know if anybody posted this before. But just something to post/talk about. what do you all do for a living? Right now I'm a sales associate at various stores.

hell yeah, high school was a blast...i didn't do **** except have sex and get high

i dont work now....i'm in college

i was going to be an audio engineer so i could work with famous people, but you dont really make any money unless your ULTRA lucky, (and you also dont work with famous people unless your awesome)

then i was going to be a doctor....and i was told by EVERY doctor (except specialists) not to do it because it wasn't worth it, and one even told me he had to file for bankrupsy because his malpractice insurance cost more than his salary

so now i'm going to school to be nurse....for now

its a quote from this article that this sports writer wrote when he was chatting with some marines . I'll make another thread and post the article, it opened up my eyes about how stupid professional sports players are.

ha ha ha its motivation....btw, i got a job today. well this band in the houston area that's a big local band (on the radio) has been asking me to get in and so today i called them and told them i was finaly ready to join

it should be intresting because i'm in the top 5 guitar players in the houston area, and the other guitar player is in the top 3 for the state of texas.....i guess it pays to have a good reputation

i print stuff.

i mostly feed my press but i've been the operator on several occations and am working on a promotion as such. but do any of you guys know just how big some of these presses can be?
(a note: none of these are pics of my shop, just random pics i found on google to show you guys)

here's what mine looks like. it's not my actual press, just the ony pic i could find of one:
it's what they call a sheet-fed press. basically a giant full-colour photocopier. it does everything from posters to books to flyers.
mine actually has a 5th colour unit though, so it's longer. it prints a 23x29 inch sheet and can do 15,000 sheets in an hour at top speed! see the guy stanting near the end (feeder mechanism) thats about the same height ratio as if it were me standing next to it (i'm a ******-hair shorter than 6'1)

this one is used for printing news papers for really big cities. it's called a web-press. the new york post or the LA times would be one that gets printed here. it goes on in giant rolls and comes off folded, cut, and collated in a full news paper. notice the guy walking in front of it (off to the side) thats a big frackin press! it prints a 70inch wide sheet of papter at 85,000 feet per hour!

this one is similar to the first one, only this is the 28x40 inch version. again, notice the size compairision witht he guy standing beside it?

another giant web, this one is used for printing packages, like ciggs or video tape boxes

this is the delivery. it's where the finnished printed product comes out.

aaand, this is the operators workstation. it's located right behind the delivery. (shown in the above pic). it's where we set colour and all that other good stuff.

any ??'s
