Thanks for the words of wisdom (haha, get it? Okay, so I'm corny! ).
I am DEFINITELY gonna be drugged, no questions asked! When it comes to physical pain, I am a wimp. How long did it take you to recover--meaning when could you start talking straight and eating?

Thanks for the advise guys. I know when my brother took them out, it took like 3 days for him to fully recover, but knowing me I'll probably take longer!
You'd think by now evolution should have taken its course with eliminating accessory organs/structures (such as wisdom teeth, appedices, tailbones, etc.) that we don't use or need anymore, but no. They have no real purpose for us but to waste our money and time. Oh well!

Dental student??? Uhh, no thank you. I'm going to this specialist, some old italian dude. But I could probably use you for the regular stuff

BTW: did you know that the suicide rate for dental school is the highest among all other schools? Just thought you might like to know!

That's pretty interesting. It's funny how many people have told me that, so I figured that if all these people said the same thing, there must be SOME kind of evidence to back it up, right? Guess not! Well it wouldn't make too much sense anyways, I mean is Dentistry more stressful than lets say Neurosurgery??? I don't know, you tell me

More stressfull than neuro surg.? I just started seeing patients this semester, so i cant really say...but I dont imagine it to be so...
Acutally, of all the dentists i've talked to/worked for in the past, they all say dentistry on the general is pretty rewarding and laid back...these are the people that only work 3 times out of the week and bank 6 figs!

What made you go into dentistry? Personally I wouldn't want to be dealing with stinky mouths all day, but hey that's just me! And the thought of pulling teeth out-- AHHHH uke:
I'm thinking of going pre-med next year in college, but I'm still undecided, eh we'll see!

nissan_s14: Where are you located anyways, and what school do you go to?

What made me want to go into dentistry? Well, i guess a number of reasons. First, I want a career in the health professions. I also like working with my hands...thus dentistry was the best match for me. Oh yea, it also helped knowin that the dentist lifestyle can be pretty rewarding...u can make some serious boo-koo bux. I go to the dental skool in Houston. You should consider dentistry...medicine is way too long imho

OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!

Well I didn't get them out on Friday as planned, but I got them out this morning! %#^*$*&#&$#*$^#**&$#*&$& is all I have to say about it.
First of all, the doc couldn't find a freaking vein even after I warned him that he wouldn't, but the cocky doc starting poking around and now my arm hurts more than the freaking site where the teeth came out! It's all black/blue and swolllen !
The anestesia worked after like 2 minutes and when I woke, I felt like I was on the BIGGEST HIGH ever! I was soooo happy and smiling, laughing, feeling great. My dad was like, "we better get home before that novacain wears off and you start screaming from pain". Speaking of novacain, my WHOLE jaw and upper cheek and lower lip was NUMB as ****! I HATED it. I tried to take a pill and I had to put my finger on my lower lip to make sure it was going in my freaking mouth! Now I have to put gauze on it "as needed", which is like every 5 min!
And to top it off, today was soo gorgeous out but I couldn't enjoy it b/c the damn Motrin made me pass out!
And I look and feel like crap, so NO ONE is allowed to see me, not even my brothers. YUCK!
