Exclamation Carbon Fiber hoods group buy!

My freind might do a group buy on carbon fiber hoods in about 2 months. We already have done one in the past month and all the hoods were good. We need around 10 people. The hoods are going to be $300-350 plus shipping. They make them for the s13 (OEM style) and I think for the s14 a/b. I will get the shops web site so you can see all the choices that they have. The guy is giving us a deal because 1) it's a group buy and 2) we are going down to Texas and picking them up. We would be shipping them from Omaha, NE, so I will have to find out the shipping rates on the hoods. So how many people would be interested in buying one. We are thinking of doing it in about 2-3 months ( as soon as we get at least 10 people).

Any details on the construction of these hoods? Like how much do they weigh? Are they true carbon fiber or just layed over fiberglass? If it's over fiberglass how many layers are they? Are they wrapped around the corners or do they continue underneath? How is the latch constructed?

Exclamation

They are Grade A carbon fiber. The edges are rolled with carbon fiber weave. These hoods are normally priced at $450 + shipping. I will find out the weight in the next day or so.

Considering on how many people are going to buy the hoods....we will decide when and if we are going to buy the hoods. Are friend out in Texas is trying to get some people down there to buy some. So considering on how many people he can get, we might not need that many people at all. I just wanted to get a idea of how many people would be interested in getting one. Last time we didn't have any trouble at all getting enough people to buy the hoods so I doubt we will this time either.

I'm sure you could do the same to it as you did for the stock hood your using with that mod. Oh and have a pic of that? Would like to see that, never seen that one done yet.
