As a precursor to my F/S thread I know how skeptical people can be with new members and one of the first posts being a F/S thread. Though, first I've been a lurker on this and other 240 forums for a few months since I purchased my hatch as my commuter car. Second, I'm a veteran member/moderator on the 2G Stratus forum and I've done some time at a 3rd gen Eclipse forum. The same user name is used on both forums.

Anyways, I just finished a 5spd swap into my 89 hatch. I ended up finding an entire doner car. Since I just used the trans and other associated 5spd parts the rest of the car is up for sale. I think I've scavanged what I could w/o completely raping the shell, which I would like to sell as complete as possible. I pretty much just need to get this stuff out of my garage so any reasonable offer will be entertained . . . ALL PRICES ARE OBO

Motor came out of an 89 SOHC KA24E. I don't recall the mileage on the engine.

I'll get some pics of the radiator and have them posted by Tuesday morning. I'll also do a leak test on it tonight.

vortxxe - I'll ship to Canada via whatever method you like. I know it will probably cost a bit as shipping to Canada costs more anyhow and the package will probably go over the point where they start charging for volume as opposed to only weight. I'll know for sure by tomorrow. I'll also dig out the lifer/rocker assemblies tonight and snap some pics of those.

KickEachVerse - It'll work for a m/t as long as u find something to plug the inlet/outlet ports for the trans cooler.

Are you tearing the motor down? If so, i might be intrested in you connecting rods if they are in good shape. How much do you want for them shipped to 29673?

 

Yes, the motor was broken down but the rods are already sold.
