yeah after you posted that question. I went out to the car and took a look and also called the people at HIDexpress.com and asked and they say that is how it is poss to be. So i guess that is a normal thing. Will hope you enjoy your hids as much as i do.

still for sale? if so i need a set of 10000k with h7 bulbs for the s13..and do you take paypal? just let me know how much--e-mail struckinc@msn.com
for the same price you could retrofit oem hid equipment, just a thought (its not really blue like 6000k and up) you should offer a 4100k kit
i have gen 3 hella ballasts, philips d2s bulbs, rx330 projectors (color modded to have more color at the cutoff line for flicker effect), and an hid wiring harness. i have spent about $280. imo these group buy lights are really blue and are just asking for trouble from police, not to mention with the output will be terrible with anything above 6000k. and halogen housings (zenki reflectors esp.) are not designed to accomodate hid rebased bulbs, neither are kouki projectors, but the kouki's have a decent pattern with an hid kit. i don't want to deter anyone, just letting you know what you are buying into.
rebased blue in halogen housing (output about same as halogen and beam pattern is ruined)
you can get the same blue color with a retrofit and color modded projectors, when you drive over bumps the lights appear to flicker blue purple etc

i find it funny that the really blue hid kits are supposed to immulate the flicker from oem hid cars, with a rebased kit there is no flicker, just a scattered blue blurr

koukis will do pretty well with an hid kit (not wide or even output, and the pattern is pretty sharp), the reason it appears brighter on one side is the flare from halogen projectors, hid projectors do not have this large flare as it is a pita for oncoming traffic. hid in kouki projectors looks like this (4300k though, a 10000k kit will be much more dim)
compare the flare to hid projectors
