Info to know before buying:

Recently there seems to have been many scams going on on different boards like RX7club.com and i-club.com etc..

I hope this does not happen on this board.

If a deal seems to good to be true, think hard about buying.
You can always protect yourself by using COD or by escrow services.

If the seller does not agree to these I personally would not buy the product.

So watch out people.

Scam Alert Update:

If you see a private sale from a member that has like 5 posts or who just recently became a member PLEASE USE CAUTION before sending them money by using one of the recommendation posted above or just have them put it on eBay!

FYI

Watch out not only as a buyer but as a seller as well. I recently posted my car on another site and got a reply from a gentleman who claimed he was the manager of a holding company (Global Motors Holding LLC) in the United Aarab Emirates( Paul Thomas, I believe - nice Arab name). He explained that he would need to have the car shipped using a shipping company which already had a few of his cars held to be shipped. I played along after reading up on the scam on the secret service's web site. He sent me a "certified" check for $4,500 for a $1,000 car and wanted me to send the $3500 to an alleged shipping person in Nigeria via Western Union. The check was counterfeit (of course) but many times banks don't realize this until days later, after it has cleared (for the time being) and then you are left holding the bag. I actually called the Bank it was drawn on, and it was a legitimate account so the automated system said there were funds to cover the check. After speaking with a bank CSR we determined it was indeed counterfeit. There are a lot of horror stories out there, so as stated previously if it seems to good to be true - it is!

Not to sound prejudiced, but why deal with anyone out of the good ol US of A? Unless they are in our military.
