I've got a 1989 nissan 240 sx that I'm considering parting out. I wanted to see what kind of interest there would be before I go through the trouble of doing it.

The car is complete. It proably has thrown a rod or something cuz there is no compression, but almost all the rest of the parts are fine.

Is there a market for interior items, engine items, suspension, body parts, etc?

I've never had a 240sx, so bare with me. I usually deal with 300zx and know that there is a market for used parts.

I'd consider selling this car whole. It actually belongs to a friend of mine and he said he would give it to me to part out. He wants a cut of the profits. From what I've heard, there is a market for used parts, especially interior items. What do you think the car is worth whole?

I'll get some more information next weekend about the options and the condition of the important items (glass, dashboard, etc.)
