Well, I have to sell my son's 240 - He rear ended someone and it will have to go.

It was a sweet little car and I hate what happened. I will take pictures of the damage and post as soon as possible. Damage is to front bumper, hood, headlights. Damage to battery and radiator. Car will NOT run.

We do NOT want to part this car out. We really need to just sell it "as is" with everything on it and just start all over.

You will need to come get it with a flatbed trailer.

sorry to sound like an a-hole, but 3k for a wrecked, 10 year old car?? price is a little steep. id part it out.

 

yeh youll prob make more $ by parting it out.

This is how I came up with that price:
The stereo system is worth about $1450 by itself...
The exhaust and intake system .....$450.....
The MagnaCore spark plug wires....$100.....
The rims and tires ........$650

and I forgot to mention that there are all new brakes and rotors on the car.

I don't absolutely know that the car will not run - after the accident I had it towed to our house and parked. I didn't try to crank the car - I didn't want anything ruined because of my ignorance . . . .

The total of the above is $2650 . . . that means you would get the car for less than $400 -
I also mentioned that the price was negotiable - AND that I did not want to part the car out - I am a single mom and don't have the time or experience.
now is this unreasonable?

 

and here is the problem with how you figured that out.

Once the stereo equipment is used, it depreciate's ALOT. the only thing that really holds value is the amps.

Used exhaust isnt worth much, and the only thing that really has value is the header. the intake is prolly an ebay special and the exhaust is custom which does really give it much value.

Plug wires? I'd rather use nissan wires anyway. I've never seen a bad STOCK nissan plug wire in my 10 years + of driving nissan cars but i have seen countless aftermarket wires that are junk right out of the box or eventually crap out...so with that in mind, i wouldn't really consider that a value mod.

The wheels are some generic company....so those are worth like 400 at best with tires.

sorry if i am being a *****, but thats how it goes with modded cars. if it was still driveable...it might be worth 2500ish range...but since it was wrecked hard enough that it cant be drove. i wouldnt pay much more than 1500....and if it was at a dealer salvage auction, all the mods wouldnt mean anything and you'd be lucky if the car brought about $500
