RB26: twins or big single?

what happens when you decide to "Get on it" and you hit boost hard...cant keep traction and hit a family of four?
how old is this guy anyways?
go talk to vin diesel, his dad used to daily a 900 hp charger...but then he hit the wall...the people said he died instantly, but diesel can still hear his father's screams

all i will say is... when you are cruzing at 3500 rpms, you are not laying down all 1000 hp... the rb26 will go down as one of the greatest motors of all times. do what you please bro.

Well, if you really go through with this you'll find that it is much easier to fab a dump/downpipe for a single turbo setup. The twins are EXTREMELY difficult to fab dump/downpipes for, if you have no experience. If you have to pay somebody to do it, you'll pay a lot of money. The only easy way out of this is to do the swap in a RHD chassis.

yes, but why would you want 600hp then...so you can lay down 250 while cruising on the highway and swear you'll quarter throttle it your whole life?
you want 600hp so you can say you have 600hp, then you want it so you can show that you have 600hp
but anyways...what you do is up to you...i suggest doing a ton of research, then maybe reconsidering or going about with your rb26 600hp plan
what you do is up to you.....if you ever come back to this thread

all i can say is if you really want it you'll do it.. the thing is you just have to figure out how
you could take an rb25 which is a little easier to swap over and make 600 with just a turbo upgrade, basic bolt ons and some tuning
the rb26 will make the same 600 with bolt ons, some extra boost and tuning on the twins.. you will get great response but have some trouble with the fabrication of exhaust parts
the rb26 with a single will easily get you 600 with a big single.. and with the newer technology.. as long as you don't get one that is WAY too big you will still have great throttle response
so the choice is up to you since it can be done in many different ways.. just keep at it and you'll achieve it

sigh, well i knew it would happen.some guy has gotta tell me i dont know what i'm talking about, and that 600 is way too much. well it probably is for a daily driver, and i was thinking about it and realized im sure this wont be my DD, since this plan is awhile away, i'll probably get another car to dd while i work on this one. And the whole fabbing exhaust isnt a problem cause Mckinney motorsports has all the sutff necessary that will make the swap alot easier. I would like to stay with the twin turbos, cause i think it just seems cooler. thanks for all your input guys.

the thing about 600 daily isn't that big a deal.. if you just cruise around all the time and stay off the gas.. you're only using maybe 300 every day.. so it can easily be a dd as long as you don't floor it at every stop light
i drove my 500hp turbo honda every day except when it went in for some kind of service

^^^yes, but will you really stay out of the gas for the rest of your life?
it only takes a half second decision to kill you and others around you
if you really want a 600hp car, leave it for the track, and dd a honda accord...
and 500FWHP is much different than 500RWHP...even 125rwhp in the rain is too much for some to handle without common sense
