AutoCrossing

Anyone here go to them, or race in them?

I've been to a couple, but never actually raced it one(due to the fact that I don't have a license yet), but my brother seems to do pretty good with our car(shared car, main reason to get a 240).

Definately give auto-x a try. Its a great way to safely learn the limits of the car. The worst thing that could happen is that you hit a cone in the process of honing your skills. I used to do them when I was in the US. Had a blast at those things. Used to trade off cars with friends just to see what their car had. The only thing expensive about them was buying the tires that I was going through.

It is a good way to learn the limits, my brother got a new sway bar a day before he went there, and spun it out twice. Helped him a lot with learning the limits of the car.

I can't wait to get out there, it sounds like fun; as long as I don't have to drive the Camry.

You might want to start looking for your own helmet if your going to make the auto-x thing a regular weekend thing to do. It does get addicting though.

Oh, I have been on ride alongs already, thats my main reason for going at the time. I've ridin in a:

s/c integra gsr(very fast, and has some suspension stuff too)

s/c V6 camry(pretty fast, but is heavy and can't handle)

90 vette(complete with roll cage, track car only, heavy suspension mods, and running on 335 series slicks)

Boxter S(mostly stock, but is very nice)

I see you gave in and bought one of your own. Let me guess you do aleast 10 events a year right? Only really started out to do the close one a few miles away? I had that happen to me. Who knew I'd end up clearing my weekends for racing.
