From BMW to Nissan

Hey guys/girls-
I usually frequent the BMW forums (bimmerforums mostly) and, well, since I'm getting a 240SX, I felt I should get acquainted with the members of club240. My name's Steve, and I don't have a 240SX yet. When I do, (hopefully in the next two months) it will be a 1991-1992 coupe, with manual transmission and an engine in good condition. Considering I'll probably have some money left over in my bank account after I buy it, I want to know what the most worthwhile first mods are for an aspiring mountain-runner with a side hobby of drifting.
Also, I am going to be getting into the fiberglass/carbon fiber fabrication business and will be using my 240SX to make molds. My first product will be a fiberglass hood of the highest quality, but extremely lightweight. I will post pics for you guys when it is done. (I'm even thinking about selling them to you for cheaper than the other guys... )
Thanks for your advice, and your forums look great already.
-Steve

Welcome to the forums manWhere in so cal are ya?
As for the first mods...Hit the suspension first man. Since your into mountain/touge and a lil drifting, very important. Maybe upgrade the tires, shocks/springs, busings, tie rods, coilovers, LSD...so many others. Id love to see pics on your body mods

I'm in a little town called Fallbrook, about 20 miles inland of Oceanside, and about 60 miles north of San Diego.
Kaaz LSD is first on my list. I'll probably buy a set of Falken Azenis Sports for the S13, as I've got them on my 325i and love them. I'll buy a set of steelies to put the generic tires it'll come with on... so I can use those as drift tires.
Bushings... where do I find them? All I've found are some Tanabe Sustec urethane rear subframe collar bushings.

welcome to the boards. JynX pretty much got it all covered. the only other things i would suggest would be braking (good set of pads, SS brake lines, and perhaps a good set of solid rotors).

Mmmm... 300ZX brake conversion. I plan on doing a 5-lug swap so I can fit bigger brakes because, well, I like stopping.
Pukin- Mainly for pleasure, but somewhat for business. I want to drift and get GRiP out to the masses, so I figured drifting was the best way to mix business and pleasure. Not to mention I've heard great things about 240s and I love the styling of the '91-'92's and Silvias. Making horsepower is easier and cheaper than on my BMW, plus there are myriad suspension choices.
