I've been trying to contact him forever in hopes of him doing something about the server problems and seeing about giving me more power so I can fix some stuff around here. Also am willing to help pay for the site, but he still hasn't gotten back to me and its been several months. I'm tired of all the damn posting problems. I know the club240.com domain name is registered until Oct. 2008, since he prepaid on that, he probably prepaid for the hosting as well. If it would happen to go down, or just start sucking alot more than it does now with the server problems, I could maybe splurge some money and buy vbulletin and host my own forums or something.

 

Sounds like a good idea. Some of the OG members should help in finding this new forum. I'm down to help.

 

I have the webspace to host it, I would just need to get a domain name and get vbulletin (which is the most expensive part, its either a one time fee of $160 or $85 a year). Could use something free like phpbb, but IMO vbulletin is so much better and has much better features.

Awesome, because I think the site is getting worse everyday, slower all the time and freezes up more and more. I'm going to see how much money I have on Thursday, and then see how much more I can come up with to see about getting vbulletin...

I think it's about time to look into better, faster, manageable options (and maybe a redesign of the look too?)

Definitely time to look into some better options. Like I said before, I have place to host it if need be, domain names are cheap and we can get something alot better than this right now. A new theme would be nice, regular updates, and just a forum that works better all around.
