thanks for the warm welcome hyjynx

already found some good info about sil-eighty conversion...

found an ad for s13 front conversion ($850 for parts, labor... i'll do it myself ) I guess I need to find Japanese 180sx rear center light? and most importantly a clean used 240sx fastback for cheap I accidently saw sil-eighty in this japanese magazine and i just love the look. I always heard about them but never seen them, so it was a pretty good shock.

seems like you guys are into SR20DET swap for these cars, can't imagin how fast these sucker would be with those in it.

you'll be seeing me time to time asking n00b questions when the search button doesn't spit out the right answers hehe see ya

No prob. For the 180sx rear lights...make sure you get the center bezal(sp?) because sometimes they dont come with them and it wont be the full tails. Just some info.

whoa~ i got scared for a sec about the initiation hahaha

thanks for the warm welcome guys. i've been looking through websites for 240, but they seem to be all over priced ($5000 ish... I thought it would be more like $2500)... i guess a lot of ppl are into drifting now and they all want 240. I just want it for some autox fun on RWD car I used to own a 2nd gen rx7 turbo II and it was fun but too costly to maintain those rotory engines...

$5000ish? hmm, u must be looking at S14's (95-98). even though prices are getting outta hand lately, i'm sure S13's are a great deal less than that (unless they're already motor swapped and/or front end converted)...

oh snap, son! i didn't notice that ur in Cali. i hear the prices are outrageous out there for these cars. my bad. yeah, u might have to do some traveling to get a decent (read: fair) deal. other than that, try hitting up cars.com, carbuyer.com, and all the for sale forums at all the 240/Nissan sites. besides, i don't know if it's just me, or does it seem like prices on autotrader are a bit higher than anywhere else?
