Hello. I'm new. Obviously.

What's up guys? I heard about this site from a member on TST and joined! I'm from Philly. Anyone else from the area?

I'm looking into getting a 240SX coupe over the winter. I know, I know, everyone drives or wants 240s nowadays I've been looking for a while now though, and I should have one, but I don't. Saving my money until I find a good one. No, I don't want it to "drift," although it's exciting, that won't be it's sole purpose. I want one because I love the look and there are so many different things to do with them.

Well I'll be around for a while. Hoping to get to know some people.

welcome to the club.

depending on the year and condition you may not have to save up for too long since the s13 are really cheap now. the s14 are a little more but still fairly cheap. that is if they don't have a swapped engine.

Thanks guys. I did have a pretty substantial ammount of money saved up but unfortunately something came up and I'm starting all over again. I figure $2,000 is plenty and I don't think I should have to pay more unless it's like, garage kept with under 150,000 miles. I just can't see spending all that money on a 15+ year old car.

I mean... it doesn't really matter if it's garage kept looks like its right out of the show room, you're going to be changing it up anyways. just find a beater and fix that up

True. I'm not worried about milage at all. Even if it's not an SR I know I can get a KA for almost nothing, and I think I'd rather go KA-T than SR anyway

Thanks for all the welcomes. I'm looking into getting a better job so I can save money faster! Hopefully I'll have something before the winter.

The search has been going on for over a year and I finally found a good one under $1000 which was what I was trying to do. I couldn't really afford anything else. Ended up only paying $700 so I'm happy =)

700 dollar 240sx from the north . . .hmmmmm . . .sounds like a solid plan, just be careful man, rust is insane in the north, I should know, I used to race and drift up there, LMAO! Stuff goes bad QUICK! Good luck though man, I can't wait to see it.
