Talking Hello from Mexico

Hello, The name´s Manuel and I own a 92 240 coupe, when I bought the car it was in pretty bad shape but now it looks and runs great. Most of the time spent working on the car was focus on making it a daily driver (a daily VAG killa, lol). The interior was complety redone, the engine was rebuilt, installed a koyo radiator, flex a lite dual electric fans, MSD coil, had to install a new CAT to pass the smog check, the suspension needs a little work, right now it has TEIN springs and KYB Gr2 shocks (handles great but you can feel every bump in the road right in the @$$).

I´ve been reading some of the posts for the past week and I like this community I hope I can integrate well with all of you.

I´ll post some pics as soon as I get to my home.

TEN-SKP04, most parts are hard to find here. Those were the ones that I could find that would offer a good grade lowering without compromising the shocks too much.

It dropped about 1.5". Most companies ship to mexico but there are a lot of taxes involved besides shipping sooooo, most of the time you end up paying twice as much for everything if you can´t find the parts here. I tried to switch from digi to analog cluster and got screwed with almost $100 and the wiring harness was not shipped, I´m still waiting on that one.

when I bought the car it was like that, the engine bay was the best part around, I think the previous owner treated it as a beater car, and the car came from texas, Mexico only saw (oficially anyway) the 93 model and HB, the model dissappeared until 98 with the last S14 which was sold as a special edition, only 500 were sold here and 90% of those were AT so I went the extra mile to find a good project car. Price was around $1600 including taxes, registration in mexico (cough - bribes to get it over the border- cough cough) and shipping to Jalisco and been restoring it ever since.

Maybe you haven´t read my other thread but today it got hit in the front by some ***** showing off in the middle of the street that hit a wet patch and spun until it was heroically stopped by my little princess.
