As I sit by myself,
I’ve come from so, so far away.
In such little time, I have gave,
My soul, my mind, I’ve tried so hard to find.
Is this what I must do, to get by?
And I ask myself why?
Why don’t you write, why don’t you call me,
I’ll wait here.
I’ll find my way, or will you help me out this year?
Does she understand me?
Listen to what I say.
Turning her back, on my dreams.
Watching, waiting.
You turn your back.
I’ll find my way home,
You turn your back.
Turn your back on my dream,
So strong, so weak, we’re stronger still.
Is this what I must do?
This I, why?
I know.
Why don’t you write, why don’t you call me,
I’ll wait here.
I’ll find my way, or will you help me out this year?
and if ya other guys wanna ask me just PM me at anytime.

Waking up at first light on a Sunday dawn,
Breathing in the cold and misty air.
I forgetfully stretch, I lazily yawn,
I run my fingers through my messy hair.
Carefully sipping on my coffee,
While the orange glow slowly infect the expansive sky,
This is the day that I again get to be free,
This is the day I again get to fly.
There she sits waiting patiently for me,
Covered in the sweet morning dew.
Waiting to show me what a day this could be,
To experience joy reserved for but a few.
I look at her and almost see her smile,
She feels it and knows it too.
Today we'll be together, miles after glorious miles,
Driving under a sky so baby blue.
With a gentle twitch
she rumbles and softly vibrates,
She's warming up.
Her batteries charge and her lungs fill up.
Her heartbeat hastens and she's now awaken,
My hands tremble holding my coffee cup.
I gently caress her into gear,
She happily respond, she doesn't hesitate.
Like a seasoned warrior she shows no fear,
A wild spirit waiting only to accelerate.
We slowly meander round the still quiet neighbourhood,
Except for the few unlucky homeless dogs.
Hungrily foraging for scraps of leftover food,
And fitness freaks out for their morning jogs.
At the last familiar turn, she instinctively strains,
We both know what lies just up ahead.
Its our antidote for the week's complains,
Makes it worthwhile to get out of my comfortable bed.
The road before me stretches to eternity.
The warm sun kisses my silly grinning face.
I shift into second gear, then third, and then I set her free,
Imagining I am a F1 racing ace.
How can I best describe the exuberance that I feel,
To have the breeze play in my hair,
To firmly grip onto the steering wheel,
To bravely enter into the dragon's lair.
So each time I find myself carrying a heavy load,
When life's problem seem too great.
I take my faithful gal, and we head out for the open road,
Nothing like a drive to clear my head.
So to friends out there who read these words of mine,
The road of life may be full of potholes along the way,
But don't let that stop us from having a real good time
