I don't like Castrol, but I wouldnt imagine that the oil would do that. Did you try running the codes or anything like that? Did you put too much or not enough oil in?

shroomz Oct 21, 2007 11:53 AM

i put in 4.5 quarts!!!! is that to much???

ryguy Oct 21, 2007 02:07 PM

No I think 4.5 quarts is about right.

shroomz Oct 21, 2007 02:09 PM

how do i check the codes??????

ryguy Oct 21, 2007 02:28 PM

http://www.club240.com/forums/showth...light=ecu+code

The 2nd post says how to do it and how to interperet the codes.

But in a nutshell, you unbolt the ECU from the car (passenger side kick panel) and turn it around so you can get to the screw on the side. Turn the screw and the LED will flash, first slow flashes then fast flashes. The slow flashes are the first number of the code, the fast flashes are the 2nd number of the code. (FLAAASH FLAAAAASH flash flash flash would be code 23 for example)
