Hi everybody
Just posting to introduce myself. I am the proud new owner of an 89 fastback. I'm joining the forum to read alot and learn. I'm a noob to Nissan, but I'll try not to act like one.
My other car is a 96 Camry I4 which is well on it's way to being supercharged. The 240 will be my DD untill the Camry is further along then the Camry will be my DD while I bring the 240 up to it's rightful condition: clean, JDM and fast.

O yeah.
There is a lot of body work to do (some dents and rust) and the engine is leaking oil around the head. So first I will be getting her back into shape.
Then I want to swap in a DE with manual trans. I need to do a lot of research, but I think I want to built it NA. Also I want coilovers and some carbon fiber. The trunk lid is the only place where there is rust, but there's alot so maybe Seibon CF replacement.
I plan to read a lot while smoothing her out, but the Camry will be my DD and the 240 will be built for the track. I'm poor (but dedicated) so this is all going to take some time.

Thanks,
I think the problem with Noobs isn't that they don't know the subject at hand, but rather those are the people that don't know how to think. Out of every thing I have tried, the Search button has always given the best return on investment.

OK, let me ask one noob question:
Is my 89 a Zenki?
I only see people talking about 14's as Zenki but I thought it meant "former period". Would not the 89 qualify for Zenki (if not Aniki, LOL)?

That refers to the same model but with slight revisions/changes. "Zenki", "Chuki" and "Kouki"
Technically you're car would be considered a Zenki because there was a Kouki (renewed front fascia) model later in production along with a Chuki somewere in between there. I think that should be correct but dont take my word on it. I am a nuub
