Hi guys

Hello everyone,
San Diegan twistie freak here. I recently wrecked my first car (Ford focus zx3 with upgraded suspension) doing a hairpin at 5 more miles per hour than I'd ever done. One of the stupidest thing I've ever done. Okay, I learned my lesson. Next time I try that I'll actually be on a track.

I think I bent or broke the front axle on impact. Most likely the car is totalled and my insurance will cover it. That understeer was bad. I'd much rather spin out then drift into the other lane. With the check I will most likely get I plan to go RWD and i've come to believe a 240sx is the best choice (if I can't get a 240 I'll get a MX-5).

My plans are to purchase a red 95 240sx (thats the S14 chassis correct?) and go with a custom turbo setup or a kit.. I did my due dillagence and figured that the SR20DET swap is illegal. This will be my first F/I vehicle and if I put the kit together it will be my first time building a turbo kit (my goal would be to be at about 200hp (crank) and drive it for several years to learn it).

I chose this forum because compared to other 240 forums club240 seemed to be the most civil, helpful community.

I'd appreciate help, and most of all saying hello!

Hi.

Welcome.

You might crash the 240sx faster than you crashed your Ford. Just IMO.

Buy HI

learn the car in n/a trim before doing forced induction. if anything, do suspension first.
