what the ***k do u mean "don't hate"? that Jetta is uber kleen and pretty nasty in the power department, too. why on earth would somebody hate on that? ur ish is teh rox! and don't worry about the lack of 240. i was here for a damn year before i got mine...

you don't have to worry much about flaming on this board, we try to keep them in order, to each their own. I personally have had bad experience with Jetta's, but there is no denying thats a clean and powerful car, why a 240, looking for rwd?

And plans for the 240?

thx guys ... ya, vws built south of the border tend to be problematic -- i've run into so much crap w/ mine, but she's good now *knock on wood*

240 ... well, mainly i wanted something fairly cheap & rwd. originally, i wanted an ae86. altho, they're so high in demand that people are selling 'em at ridiculous prices - i mean, c'mon it's nearly 20yrs old! the 240 was next on my list ...

plans? not much really ... just suspension & chassis reinforcement ... it's gonna be my drift/autoX car ... dunno about motor swap tho ... if it eventually dies (hehe), then most likely.

 

The KA should last ya, if it was taken car of right. And ur right on the AEs...those things are expensive for that old of a car. 240s are getting like that here...at least in cali
