as much as i dislike hondas i'd like to point out that mazda designed a 1.3l engine. they were experimenting with a rotary engine, hence the rx 6,7,8.

As much as I dislike Honda's line up of vehicles, I'd like t point out that Mazda Motors designed the 1.3 liter rotary engine while experimenting with Wankle's engine design. From this led the creation of the RX6, RX7 and RX8.
