I am a 240 Noob

Whats up? I'm exactly what the title says. I am in the market for a 89-94 240SX and decided to join so i can learn as much as possible. I just came from lookin @ an '89 w/ 150k+ miles on a rebuilt motor it also has a sunroof and COLD AC the guy is askin $950 firm. If anyone has any advice on what else to look out for, good and bad, let me know. Thanx.

LOL yea i know that much. Around the sunroof there is some rust which is expected given the year and i think there is a spot on the trunk. I need to go back a take another good look at it, i didn't have enuff time today.

na..... there is not really suppose to be rust there.. i have an 89 with a drop in sunroof and the car was only rusted on those spots that were beat up by the prior owners.

which are the jacking points and right under the brake fluid resivoir. idoits like to pour fluid right there with no funnel which eats the paint away and promotes rust when spilled.

just check the frame rail from front to back and the wheel wells.... if they pass well than you sir have just found a deal.

$950 ain't bad at all. With a little elbow grease (and if you need to, import parts from Japa~an) you can have a nice lookin' 240!

...just put it on your tab at Harrys and let us know how it turns out.
