because the 240 and also competitor prelude were marketed towards women..
if u look at the majority of 240 drivers who dont mod..
they mostly women driving nice slushboxes

I have to say her site is fantastic. It is nice to see how the westcoasters are living more of an auto lifestyle. Not just involved with a hobby.

Also how about the 240 in the Fast n Furious. That was driven by a chick in the movie and owned in real life by a chick. SO they can roll anyday with me.

Cars with RWD are not geared towards females. THe Celica and prelude are due to their FWD. WOmen do not feel comfortable in RWD cars thus the 240 not being geared towards them. The Celica was changed in 1986 to FWD to appeal to more women and thus started the trend of women buyers and FWD. The s13 came out after that and was geared as more of a cruiser type vehicle as a Supra at the same time was.

um,mms...
check out the majority of 240 owners..
and u will see most are women..
and also....
rwd can be fine..
most ppl dont push the cars therefore it is reasonably safe...
wont oversteer..
hell recall the mr2?
can u say snap on oversteer..
there were a lot of problems with the 91-92 versions
but was later changed..
i still feel the 91-92 suspenion was best...
oversteer is fun.

Umm... most new cars are marketed towards women... they make up the majority of new car buyers!

And to whomever made the slushbox comment, it's incorrect. Women buy most manual transmission cars. They are more likely to have a definite budget and stick to it, so they are less likely to get talked into the optional transmission.

For the statisticians out there most women drive automatic and are willing to pay the extra $ for it. A girl who drives stick is HoTTT, trying to teach my own how to. They definitely are not enough chicks who drive stick.
